At Long Island Pediatrics, we begin our partnership with your family right from the start, initiating newborn care at the hospital and continuing as a central part of your child's healthcare team from day one. Our first office visit typically takes place within 48 hours of discharge, where we check your newborn's weight, monitor for jaundice, assess feeding, and answer all of the questions that come with those exciting and exhausting early days. We are committed to supporting new parents and giving every baby the healthiest possible start.

A sports physical is an important step before your child takes the field, court, or track. At Long Island Pediatrics, we conduct thorough sports physical exams in accordance with the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Sports Medicine. Our pediatricians evaluate your child's overall health and fitness to determine whether they are ready to safely participate in their chosen sport or school activity. Please bring any required school or league forms to your appointment. Note that a sports physical does not replace your child's annual comprehensive well-child visit and requires a separate appointment.
